The rain was pouring heavily. The world around her was asleep. Amidst the noise of rainfall, the snoring sound of the old man, she could hear them clearly.
She is used to them now. As a kid she thought they are coming from downstairs, monsters lurking in the dark are talking to each other, But the voices were familiar. It sounds like an echo of the voices she heard during the day. But no one else heard them.
She searched for the monsters under her bed, inside the storeroom and behind the closed doors, but there were none!! She wondered where are they hiding? At night, she kept her eyes open, expecting them to come out of the closets in search of her. But they never paid her a visit.
Her search continued until the day she realised, they are inside her. Monsters are inside her talking to each other. Fighting and smashing each other's heads. Oh, no they are the voices inside her head, keeping her awake all night!!
She will have to learn how to calm them down.
